Every year I begin by explaining to my students that I will learn more from them than I could possibly teach... and every year that prophecy is fulfilled. My intention is to fill this page with the occasional reflections, frustrations, and inspirations of a teacher who loves his work and deeply respects the youth he teaches. It will also serve as a space to amplify some of the amazing work being done by my students. Thanks for listening!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful effort. The photo of Omari's eyes is worth the check in alone.
In order to enter your maestro place I had to create my own google blog. This means you have forced me into a part of the 21st century I may not want to go (but for you, anything).
My whole life has been a blog - or is that a blot? Perhaps, I'm just blogged out after so much talking and writing for 50 years.
But when I grow up I'm going to become a lumberjack...
In the midst of all these incredible things you do, and your ongoing self-definition challenges, and loving Omari, you amaze me.
That you could eke out any time for munching and drinking is a magnificent gift from you.
In a perfect world - we'd drink and talk all night and be unable to focus in the morning. But only with the best Bordeaux of course.
Love
